“Life is the Greatest Miracle of All!” December 4, 2011

Over the years there has been much debate over what constitutes a miracle. In THE SCIENCE OF MIND, the textbook for Religious Science, Ernest Holmes wrote: There is a point on the supreme moment of realization where the individual merges with the Universe, but not to the loss of his individuality; where a sense of the Oneness of all Life so enters his being that there is no sense of otherness. It is here that the mentality performs seeming miracles, because there is nothing to hinder the Whole from coming through.” End quote

In other words, what we call a miracle is simply the normal state of affairs when we align our minds so completely with the Mind of God when we speak our word that the results that we seek must surely ensue, as long as that which we are asking for is for the highest and greatest good of all concerned. During this season of the year, there is so much emphasis on miracles. The entire Christmas story is one of miracles, but in truth every season, in fact every day, presents the opportunities for miracles. So today let us open our eyes to the miracles that are occurring all around us and give thanks for each and every one of them as we recognize the part that each of us plays in co-creating them. After all, life itself is the greatest miracle of all and we recognize it as good and very good.
